Best World Series Game Score Ever

Posted by Chris J. on November 8, 2007

OK, here's a fun trivia question: what starting pitcher has the best game score in the history of the World Series?  It's NOT Don Larsen.

I'll give you a hint: it's a Hall of Famer.

Tell you what, before I give you the answer, take your best guess.  Heck, take your 5 best guesses - after all, there's a lotta Hall of Famers.

One final hint: while this man only pitched for one team in the World Series, he's more well-known for his exploits with another team.  Makes it a bit more difficult, don't it?

Well, drop your pencils, class.  Guess time is over, and I bet you didn't guess this Immortal, now did you?

I knew it immediately just because there have been other recent posts about post season game scores.
