Before 1948 Season: Sent from the Brooklyn Dodgers to the Spokane (Western International) in an unknown transaction.

November 17, 1949: Drafted by the Cleveland Indians from the Portland (PCL) in the 1949 rule 5 draft.

April 26, 1950: Purchased by the St. Louis Browns from the Cleveland Indians.

June 15, 1950: Traded by the St. Louis Browns with Tom Ferrick and Joe Ostrowski to the New York Yankees for Jim Delsing, Don Johnson, Duane Pillette, Snuffy Stirnweiss, and $50,000.

July 22, 1950: Purchased by the Portland (PCL) from the New York Yankees.

October 11, 1951: Traded by the Portland (PCL) to the St. Louis Browns for Fred Sanford, Jack Maguire, and cash.

June 15, 1952: Traded by the St. Louis Browns with Tom Wright to the Chicago White Sox for Al Zarilla and Willy Miranda.
