Kia Tigers

The Kia Tigers were charter members of the Korea Baseball Organization in 1982 and have been the most successful team in KBO history, taking 9 of the first 16 titles with pennants in '83, '86-'89, '91, '93 and '96-'97. Based in Gwangju, they were formerly known as the Haitai Tigers. The team is owned by Kia Motors. After the KBO began allowing foreign players in 1998 the team has not yet won a title. Their home stadium is Moodeung Stadium.
