Pitcher Joanne Winter was a star for the Racine Belles of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. She won 33 games in 1946 and shares the record for most wins in a season. Over her eight year career, she went 133-115 with a 2.06 ERA in 287 games.
After her baseball career, Winter won the 1962 Arizona Amateur Golf Championship. She played on the LPGA tour from 1963 to 1966.
