[edit] Biographical Information
Bert Daniels played five years in the majors during the dead ball era, with good dead-ball skills. He had decent range in the outfield, stole a lot of bases, drew walks well, and was expert in getting hit by the pitch.
He led the league three times in hit-by-pitch, and stole 41 bases as a rookie. His highest on-base percentage was .374 in 1911, although his .356 OBP in 1910 was more impressive because it was nearly 50 points above the league average that year.
In one game in 1913 he batted leadoff and was hit by the pitch three times.
