The 1976 Division II College World Series was held in Springfield, IL. The tournament was won by Cal Poly Pomona, coached by John Scolinos. The runner-up was SIU Edwardsville. Cal Poly Pomona outfielder Ken Hellyer was named the series Most Outstanding Player.
